HARD SHOULDER LÀ GÌ
I am not clear about the meaning of above sentence. Does it mean that Joy was lying on a bed in the supine posture, then he decided khổng lồ turn to lớn the side of the hard shoulder, in order to lớn take side sleep posture? Otherwise, how can one move to lớn the side of the hard shoulder?
I want khổng lồ understand whether this sentence has quite a different meaning from what I understood.

The "hard shoulder" refers to the lane at the side of a road where a car can pull into if it breaks down or needs to stop in an emergency.
